(1) Thank & praise God as a Good Father.
Thank and praise God for who He is—close, loving, and holy. “God, you’re my Father—and you’re holy. I trust you, and I honor you.”

(2) Ask for his kingdom to come.
Ask God to bring His rule into your life and into the world around you. “Your kingdom come: here, in me, in
my family, in my world.”

(3) Bring your authentic needs to him.
Ask for what you need, big or small, and trust Him to provide. “Give me what I need today.” Don’t filter it and be specific. Ask for more of the Holy Spirit.

(4) Confess your sin (and release others).
Ask for forgiveness, and choose to forgive others. “Forgive me... and help me forgive.”

(5) Ask for protection from evil.
Ask God to lead you away from what pulls you down. “Lead me away from temptation and trials and deliver me from what’s evil.”
